5 Ways to Renew Your Faith This Spring

Hey Sis, happy Monday! Let's talk about how we can experience spiritual refreshment with Scripture, reflection, and grace as we start this work week.

Spring is such a beautiful reminder that God is always in the business of making things new. The blossoming flowers, longer days, which means there is more light and sun, and gentle breezes reflect the spiritual truth found in Lamentations 3:22–23 AMP:

“It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.”

No matter where you are in your faith journey—whether you are weary, distracted, or simply desiring more of God—this season is an invitation to renew your faith.

Below are five intentional, Scripture-filled ways to experience renewal and revival in your walk with Jesus this spring.

1. Reconnect Through Daily Time with God

Just like spring rains nourish the earth, God’s Word refreshes the soul. Consistent time with Him through reading, prayer, and stillness will restore your spirit.

"But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also." — Matthew 6:33 AMP

Cross-References:

  • Psalm 63:1 AMP: “O God, You are my God; with deepest longing I will seek You; my soul [my life, my very self] thirsts for You, my flesh longs and sighs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”

  • Isaiah 55:6 ESV: “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.”

Reflection Questions:

  • What does your current time with God look like?

  • What distractions can you set aside this spring to meet with Him more consistently?

  • How does your heart respond when you intentionally pursue God's presence?

2. Let God Prune What’s Holding You Back

Spring is a pruning season in nature, and so it is spiritually. God lovingly removes what's unfruitful in our lives to help us flourish in Him. He will show you what's in your heart and what sins have taken root, and what He wants to remove. It is not a fun time, but a necessary one.

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].” — John 15:2 AMP

Cross-References:

  • Hebrews 12:11 AMP: “For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems sad and painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness [right standing with God and a lifestyle and attitude that seeks conformity to God’s will and purpose]."

  • Psalm 139:23–24 AMP: “Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart;

Test me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."

Reflection Questions:

  • Are there habits, attitudes, or relationships you sense God calling you to release?

  • How has God “pruned” you before, and what fruit did it produce?

  • What areas of your life feel unfruitful right now?

3. Meditate on Scriptures That Remind You of God’s Faithfulness

Renewal often comes by remembering. Reflecting on God’s character and promises helps us trust Him deeply, especially when life feels uncertain.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” — Hebrews 10:23 ESV

Cross-References:

  • Deuteronomy 7:9 AMP: “Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”

  • 2 Timothy 2:13 AMP: If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.

Reflection Questions:

  • What promises of God do you need to hold onto this spring?

  • How has God shown His faithfulness to you in past seasons?

  • Which Scriptures most speak to you about His consistency and care?

4. Engage in Worship that Refreshes Your Soul

Worship isn’t just singing. Sis, it’s an act of surrender that renews our minds and lifts our focus. It realigns our hearts with God’s truth. It forces us to focus on God.

O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer]. — Psalm 95:6 AMP

Cross-References:

  • Romans 12:1 AMP: “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.”

  • Hebrews 12:28 AMP: "Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe."

Reflection Questions:

  • What form of worship helps you feel closest to God—music, writing, prayer, serving?

  • How can you incorporate worship into your daily or weekly rhythm?

  • Have you been worshiping from a place of joy or obligation?

5. Walk in Community and Accountability

Just as spring brings people outdoors together, our faith thrives in community. Renewal often comes through godly friendships, mentorship, and shared growth. Don't be afraid to fellowship and build a community that will help you in your walk and keep you accountable. Sis, accountability is everything in your faith walk.

And let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds.” — Hebrews 10:24 AMP

Cross-References:

  • Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 AMP: “Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor; 10 for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up.”

  • James 5:16 AMP: Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].

Reflection Questions:

  • Are you walking closely with other women in your faith right now?

  • Who can you open up to for spiritual encouragement or accountability this spring?

  • Is God calling you to join or lead a Bible study, prayer group, or serve somewhere new?

Sis, faith renewal isn’t about striving harder. It’s about staying close to the Source of life, who is Jesus Christ. This spring, let God gently refresh your soul through His Word, pruning, worship, and community. There is so much more He wants to do in and through you if you’re willing to lean into His presence. Let us close in prayer.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for being a God of fresh starts and daily mercy. As spring unfolds around us, we open our hearts for You to do a new work within us. Teach us to seek You first, to let go of what no longer serves Your purpose, and to meditate deeply on Your faithful promises. Renew our souls through worship and draw us closer to others who can help us walk in truth and love. Prune what needs to go and water the seeds of faith You’ve planted in our hearts.

We trust You, Lord, to lead us into a season of growth, joy, and spiritual awakening. In Jesus’ precious and holy name we pray, amen.

Sis, go and be refreshed and renewed this Spring!
